Gorkhi-Terelj National Park
Located just 65 km from the city of Ulaanbaatar, this national park showcases a breathtaking landscape of towering granite mountains, forests covering the northern slopes, rolling meadows filled with wildflowers, and unique rock formations shaped by wind erosion. With the added beauty of fast-flowing rivers and streams, the park boasts an average altitude of 1600 m above sea level, with its highest peak, Avkhan Mountain, reaching 2664 m.
As one of Mongolia's most popular tourist destinations, the park offers a range of ger camps and resorts in its tourist zone located before the Terelj River. For those seeking a more secluded and unspoiled wilderness experience, the less-developed areas beyond the Terelj River provide a chance to immerse in untouched nature.
