Khagiin khar lake
This stunning glacial lake is nestled in the heart of the Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area in the Baga Khentii mountain range. Measuring 2.5 km by 1 km, it is set at an altitude of 1817 meters above sea level, surrounded by breathtaking coniferous forests. The average depth of the lake is 11 meters, reaching a maximum of 25 meters at its deepest point.
The reflection of the surrounding tree-covered mountains on the crystal-clear water makes this lake a true hidden gem, known as the "Secret Beauty." Accessible only by foot, horse, or helicopter, the area remains unspoiled and peaceful, offering a safe haven for wildlife such as red deer, elk, roebuck, musk deer, brown bear, wolf, lynx, and wolverine.
